Elevator Door Wire Rope Assembly
Core Applications
01
- ● Hall/Car Door Synchronization: Acts as the drive and return cable for elevator hall (landing) and car doors, transmitting power from the door operator to enable synchronized opening and closing.
- ● Weighted Door Closing: Connects to the hall door's weight mechanism, using gravity to provide closing tension and ensure the hall door reliably and smoothly closes and locks after the elevator departs the floor.
- ● Safety Interlock: Integrates with safety circuits and door lock mechanisms, ensuring the elevator can only operate when doors are fully closed, thus safeguarding passenger safety.
Construction
02
- ● Wire Rope Body: Made of galvanized or stainless steel multi-strand construction, offering high strength, fatigue resistance, and durability under repeated door operation cycles.
- ● Threaded Stud End: Used to connect to the door operator or weight mechanism, with nuts for precise tension adjustment to ensure door operation accuracy.
- ● Metal Ferrule/Sleeve: Permanently crimped to secure the wire rope to the terminal fitting, ensuring joint strength is at least equal to the rope body.
- ● Fixed End Sleeve: The metal sleeve at the opposite end secures the assembly to the door system, completing the load-bearing loop.
Application Scenarios
It is widely used in the door control systems of passenger elevators, freight elevators, and escalators, serving as a critical component for ensuring safe and reliable elevator door operation.
