An Spliced Wire Rope Sling is a traditional and highly reliable lifting sling manufactured by manually splicing the end of a steel wire rope back into its own body to form a permanent eye. This construction preserves the flexibility of the wire rope while providing excellent strength and durability. Widely used in lifting, hoisting, towing, and rigging applications, Spliced wire rope slings are suitable for construction, marine, mining, ports, oil & gas, and heavy industrial operations. They are available in various diameters, lengths, and end configurations to meet different working requirements and can be supplied with galvanized or bright steel wire rope, fiber core or steel core, according to customer specifications.

    Product Features

    主1
    01
Superior Breaking Load & Impact Resistance
Manufactured from high-grade galvanized or bright steel wire rope with tensile strength grades up to 1960 N/mm² or higher. The inserted loop construction maintains nearly 100% of the rope’s rated breaking force, providing a large safety margin for sudden shock loads and overhead crane operations.
    Exceptional Abrasion and Crush Resistance
Unlike synthetic slings, the steel wire core and outer strands offer outstanding resistance to cutting, scraping, and surface wear when dragged over sharp edges, rough concrete, or steel structures. The loop eyes are reinforced with protective thimbles (optional) to prevent deformation under heavy bearing pressure.
    主2
    01
    Excellent Heat and Weather Tolerance
Withstands extreme temperatures (from –40°C to +200°C) without loss of mechanical properties. The galvanized surface option provides reliable corrosion protection in marine, humid, or chemically exposed environments, far outperforming polyester or nylon slings under similar conditions.
    Flexible Configuration & Length Stability
The open-loop design allows quick attachment to hooks, shackles, or crane blocks, while the eye retains its shape under tension. The sling exhibits minimal elongation (typically < 1% at working load limit), ensuring precise load control during positioning and landing.
    主3
    01
Long Service Life with Simple Maintenance The all-metal structure is not susceptible to UV degradation, mildew, or oil absorption. Routine visual inspection for broken wires, kinks, or corrosion is straightforward, and the sling can be re-certified after re-termination if the main rope body remains sound.

    Application Fields

    01
    Heavy Lifting & Hoisting
Used in shipbuilding, steel mills, and prefabricated concrete plants for lifting steel coils, plates, pipes, machinery parts, and large precast components. The loop eyes enable easy connection to crane hooks, spreader beams, and multi-leg sling assemblies.
    Towing, Pulling & Mooring Operations
Deployed in offshore salvage, tugboat operations, and dockyard ship berthing to handle high-tension pulling and sustained towing loads. The corrosion-resistant galvanized finish is particularly suitable for saltwater environments.

    主5
    01
    Construction & Foundation Engineering
Applied in piling rigs, tunnel boring machines, and formwork lifting systems. The sling’s high strength-to-diameter ratio allows it to fit into confined spaces while providing enormous pulling force for anchor testing, cable laying, and structural tensioning.
    Mining & Quarrying
Ideal for dragging heavy mining equipment, conveyor rollers, crusher parts, and rock buckets, where sharp rock fragments and dust would quickly destroy synthetic slings. The steel wire construction ensures reliable performance in dusty, abrasive, and high-impact conditions.
    01
    Offshore & Subsea Deployment
Used for lifting subsea pipelines, ROV handling, and anchor chain replacement. The optional stainless steel or heavy galvanized coating provides extended corrosion resistance for long-term exposure to seawater and splash zones.
    Emergency Rescue & Industrial Maintenance
In disaster recovery, collapsed structure stabilization, or heavy equipment extraction, the wire rope sling offers the strength and heat resistance needed for cutting, torching, or welding operations nearby without risk of melting or burning.
